The story behind the stop
Alabama Tourism connects the house’s phantom-light legend with Sarah Drish and candles kept after her husband’s funeral. The tale later appeared in a collection of Alabama ghost stories. Treat the lights and supernatural explanation as folklore, rather than a verified event.
